The value of imagery . . .
Imagery can evoke emotion, capture attention, and create a sense of calm. Dr. Nations promotes imagery as a tool of healing.

one step at a time
At times, we can all be burdened or troubled about the past. So many times, I have heard someone who has spent time in prison say, “Here I am at 40 years old, and I have nothing!” I always encourage them to not use their energy regretting past failures. Use your energy to move forward make a life for yourself!
If you have guilt from unforgiven sins, confess them, and let Jesus have the guilt. He bore it already, so you don’t need to. Being forgiven frees up energy to move forward with a new, clean heart.
Don’t look back – You are not going that way!

God’s Favorite Direction
In a desperate hour of history, the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness, totally dependent on the mercy and provision of God. That is the best place for any of us to be. Anyway, Pharaoh was chasing them, mountains were around them and the Red Sea was before them. Sounds a little like the daily melt-downs in some people’s lives.
At this time God said to Moses, “Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.” Why?
- Going back would spell disaster
- There was nothing to return to
- Forward was the only direction that spelled deliverance
As for you, friend, God will always lead you forward. He never draws or directs us to back up, unless we need to right a wrong before moving on.
Forward in spite of uncertainty.
Forward in faith and trust.
Forward in obedience.
Let us get a firm grip on our Heavenly Father’s hand. He is qualified to lead. The worst thing we can do is to kneel and pray, “Our Father,” rise from the place of prayer and live an orphaned life! The promise is true that if you “draw nigh to God,” He will surely “draw nigh to you.”
